Welcome to this corner of the internet.
Remember when the internet used to be a "place"? Something you're looking forward to go to once you've finished your chores or school work.
It was once limited to home desktops, school computer rooms, or internet cafés; promising that knowledge, social capital, and cultural capital would be just a few clicks away, all from the comfort of our seats.
Perhaps we clicked and scrolled too close to the sun and now the internet is something we carry in our pocket, something we live in, something required to participate in the society.
Now, it's full of noise (algorithm living beneath your walls, out-of-pocket artificially generated content, manifestations of brain rot, etc.). I'm trying to reclaim a little bit of space, perhaps a corner, that is less cluttered and less pressure to perform and depend on engagements for a quick dopamine hit.
TLDR: If you're here, thank you for supporting my desire to have an online outlet for my writing and learning journey a little bit away from social media.
